How I got here…
My path to becoming a counselor was not a traditional one, but I believe that has deeply shaped the way I approach my work. I returned to school as a non-traditional student, earning my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from California University of Pennsylvania. While this was a later chapter in my life, it was one rooted in a genuine desire to help others navigate life’s challenges.
What drew me to this field was a profound understanding of the human process—the way life’s circumstances, environments, and experiences shape who we are. I’ve seen firsthand how situational factors can lead to feelings of being stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of the next steps. Whether it’s a major life transition, the weight of perfectionism, or struggles with anxiety or depression, It is easy to feel lost in the moment.
My style is compassionate but direct. I’m not afraid to challenge patterns of thinking or behaviors that may be keeping you from where you want to be. Growth often happens when we step outside our comfort zones, and I’ll encourage you to take those steps while providing a safe and supportive space to do so.
As someone who operates from a cabin and offers both traditional and nature-informed therapy, I believe in how healing it can be to step outside the typical office environment. Sometimes, a simple walk or time spent outdoors can provide the clarity and grounding we need to move forward.
My goal is to meet you where you are, provide a safe space to explore, and help you create meaningful change in your life. Let’s navigate this together.
