Treatment Options
Clients can experience the healing benefits of nature while receiving professional counseling services tailored to their needs. By incorporating the natural environment into therapy sessions, it creates a safe and calming space for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions, promoting overall well-being and personal growth. This can look like having coffee on the porch of the cabin, to meeting at a local park for a walk and talk session, or hiking on a local trail. I offer many options and am open to client suggestions based on your preference and outdoor comfort level.
PLEASE NOTE: (Insurance coverage may be limited to sessions starting and ending at office location.)
I am proud to offer a serene and safe space for face-to-face counseling sessions. Sessions are held in a finished tiny home/ cabin office . The cabin is situated under tall Oak trees with a stunning view of the Laurel Highlands. While I understand how this setting may not be ideal for everyone, I have found that it compliments my approach and allows me to thrive as a clinician. I have always liked to be a little different and maybe you do too!
I have been utilizing technology to provide effective telehealth therapy sessions since the pandemic began. Life’s numerous obligations can make attending therapy in person challenging, but with telehealth, you can receive the support you need from the comfort of your own space. Whether you’re facing time constraints or struggling with childcare responsibilities, telehealth offers a convenient solution to access therapy.
Kelly Tamburro, LPC, CNIT
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from California University of Pennsylvania and five years of experience in the field. I have a pending certification in nature-informed therapy, and my practice operates out of a unique, non-traditional setting, providing a calm and grounding environment for my clients.
My eclectic therapeutic approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to treat anxiety and depressive disorders, while also helping clients with goal setting and personal development. Grounded in the principles of behaviorism, I empower my clients to make meaningful changes through practical, evidence-based strategies.
I bring warmth, humor, and a down-to-earth style aiming to build strong, trusting relationships while guiding individuals through their challenges. As a mother of two and a veteran spouse, I understand the complexities of family life, and these personal experiences inform my compassionate and empathetic approach.
When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy running and completed my first full marathon in November 2024! Camping and kayaking with my family are some of my favorite activities. Crocheting also keeps me balanced and centered.
